XXXX XXXX store-i felt as though I was scammedXXXX Purchasing an item and the associate said to get the credit card for 40 % Off -I explained I usually use one credit card only-she said its 40 % Off you should get it even if you dont use it. They put my information in and came back needs more information??? No reasons or information as to what or why. I have very good credit ; however the associate gave no explanation. The associate said you cant get the discount then. I said to cancel the information and I will use my credit card which I planned to do from the beginning. No discount no new credit card. I received a card in the mail a few weeks later. I couldnt believe it. I was told it was canceled-I called the store and explained the whole situation and the answer is its basically out of their hands. This is not acceptable because I was told I wasnt getting the card and it was canceled and somehow my information was forwarded to the bank which ran a credit report. When I called the store they told me I cant get the discount bc I hadnt come back with the card. First of all, I was told the card would t go through and asked my information be erased Secondly, I was never told that I MAY GET THE CARD. Thirdly, it was never explained that I could come back to the store and get the discount. This whole situation seems to be a scam. It is totally inappropriate and unfair to the customer. Im not comfortable with it and will have the credit card and bank close the card.
