Under 15 U.S.C. 1681c-2 requires that credit reporting agencies block fraudulent information within four ( 4 ) business days of receiving proof of identity theft, which I have provided in the form of my FTC Identity Theft Report. Per 15 U.S.C. 1681g ( a ), consumers have the right to complete and accurate data reporting. 15 U.S.C. 1681e ( b ) : Responsibility to ensure maximum accuracy. 15 U.S.C. 1681n and 1681o outline liability for failure to comply with these requirements, including potential damages for willful or negligent violations.
