When I became aware of the collection on my report I immediately contacted Equifax, informed them I was writing to address a matter of significant concern regarding actions ( or lack thereof ) that I believe may have resulted in negligent behavior and non-compliance with certain statutory requirements under Section 1681O, which governs civil liability for these actions. and requested an investigation. Equifax has not completed an investigation. This action, or failure to act, has caused undue harm and has led to a breach of the legal obligations as outlined in the aforementioned statute. As per Section 1681O, individuals or entities who engage in negligent practices or fail to comply with legal obligations may be held accountable for the resulting consequences. It is my belief that your organization has failed to meet the required standards, which has led to me being denied credit.
