I have been paying the Discover credit card payment protection service fee for years. I have tried to utilize the plan in the past for accidentally missed payments for which the service could not be used. It must be a planned usage to which I asked what my protection is for something planned, it seems the unplanned is what I am paying for according to your information. I told them the plan was useless. I have called back twice to cancel the protection service fee and each time, they said I was not allowed to cancel the protection service to which I said it is not a service but a requirement and therefore a hidden bank charge. I am still paying the fee and they will not allow me to cancel it. My average balance is {$500.00} if that and the fee is an excessive XXXX dollars based on usage and not balance. Each month they charge me for a service I am unable to use. Seems biased and unfair.
