I want to preface this with the fact that I have multiple credit cards, not because of poor debt management but to improve my credit score which is over XXXX. With that, I have multiple credit cards ( including other store credit cards like XXXX 's ) and they all allow me to make same-day payments. The Target credit card, however, makes it hard to make a same day payment. The Target credit card only accepts same-day payments before XXXX XXXX XXXX, and they otherwise charge a late payment fee even if paid on the due date. Other credit cards allow payments at any time on the due date and do not charge a late fee so long as it is made before midnight. I've paid on the due date in XXXX occasions in the last 6 months and on both occassions they have charged a late fee even when it is completed on the due date. The Target credit card should be able to offer the same options that their competitors, and in some cases smaller companies, do. It is unfair that XXXX can have this predatory practice that allows them to unjustly earn late fees because of their inability to process payments like most other credit card providers on the due date.
