I've had a debt collector by the name of XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) that received my medical bill from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX without my consent. This includes my social security number, date of birth, and address, which is private information that I did not consent to giving. I did not consent to XXXX XXXX XXXX to share my information ( social security number, phone number, address, and date of birth ) with the debt collection agency XXXX XXXX, XXXX. This is a HIPAA violation, specifically unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information ( PHI ). I was also harassed numerous amount of times with phone calls from this debt collector agency. This is in direct violation of the FDCPA which states that debt collectors are prohibited from using abusive language, threats or harassment. I paid them a total of {$100.00} with four payments of {$25.00} on the dates of XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX of 2023. I was even told after finally responding to the harassment of calls that I would have to pay {$150.00} at first. I told them I couldn't possibly do that and {$25.00} would be the best I could do. Now they have sent this medical debt to another company under the legal name Central Portfolio Control.
