I am an employee at XXXX XXXX XXXX who works with capital one to deposit our checks into our banks, Was expected to receive direct deposit thursday XXXX XX/XX/year> in the XXXX after not receiving direct deposit thought may be delayed for a couple of hours, at XXXX received a email from our field support at the company stating due to a third party vendor issue / outage all employees at XXXX XXXX XXXX would not be receiving our payroll on expected day XX/XX/year> Friday at XXXXXXXX XXXX Was informed by same field support that We would be receiving Payroll and direct deposits by friday XX/XX/year> but at a later time than when would typically get paid, Next Morning friday checked and still no direct deposit at around XXXX XXXX Read another Email from The field supporter stating and sending a letter sent by capital one stating we would recieve Direct deposit Today but depending on bank it would be up to them at what time it is now XX/XX/year> XXXXXXXX XXXX in california And assuming all banks are now closed and have still not received direct deposit, This is a complete distress for me an my family as to having bills due today and needing money to pay for groceries such as food and as well gas to get throughout the weekend as well as to be able to get to work and paying a phone bill which now will have to pay late fees due to not receiving the money that was supposed to be deposited since XX/XX/year>, and wondering how i will be able to call as well as get to places and to be able to clock in to work monday as to not being able to may phone bile but need phone in order to work as well needing gas to get to work, I am filing a complaint with the CFPB regarding Capital One 's failure to deposit my direct deposit from my employer and any other incoming deposits. Capital One has cited technical issues, which may violate the Electronic Funds Transfer Act ( EFTA ) as it requires timely access to funds.
