I had disputed an account on my credit file to your company as well as the 3 major credit bureaus. I can submit file numbers upon request. All of the information was submitted by mail for the first time on or about XX/XX/XXXX via certified mail as well as several subsequent mailings to XXXX, XXXX, Equifax and XXXX. An investigation was done and I was notified by every agency except for Equifax that the file was removed from my report permanently. I had called Equifax several times and had been given verbal confirmation that this file was removed after the 30 day waiting period when the merchant/account in question did not respond to Equifax 's requests. Since late XXXX this file has not been listed on any of the 3 bureaus listed, however XX/XX/year> I was denied credit due to Equifax reporting this account on my file. The agent for Equifax stated " it just recently started reporting again '' and " there was nothing they could do about it '' Equifax also stated that they have NEVER received any documentation from me regarding this account and that their system only goes back 90 days! This statement is inaccurate as all bureaus received several letters, court filings etc regarding this account via certified mail. I will be taking legal action against Equifax for violations of the FDCPA and the FCRA.
