There is a collection agency that retaliated against me because I keep disputing a collection account with the wrong amount. I sent the original documents into the credit bureaus, as well as the creditors, but they refuse to accept my documents and now the collection agency put a hard inquiries on my report in retaliation. I contacted the collection agency and the lady said she hit my credit because " you people don't pay your bills ''. I asked the credit bureaus to verify the amount and they keep reporting it as accurate. The actual creditors of the collection account has it reported as paid on my credit report but they refuse to remove it or update the amount. I have the original signed documents, and the collection agency only has a unsigned copy. The management company of the apartment says I don't owe anything so I'm not sure why this agency is still trying to collect on a debt I don't own, and insist on hitting my credit Everytime I dispute the collection account.
