I have reached out to Federal Student Aid on several occasions to have my PSLF payment counts reconsidered and corrected. My request has gone well beyond the 90 day processing window. According to the federal guidelines I should receive payment credit for the months of XXXX through XXXX of XXXX because I had been automatically placed on the SAVE repayment plan. I did not opt for this plan, so I was forced to be on it. Once the correction is made I will have 118 of my 120 payments required for PSLF. Then my plan is to buyback the last 2 months. However, the severe delay in processing my reconsideration has caused me mental anguish. My timeline is below : XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX XXXX EST I submitted my reconsideration request on XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXXXXXX XXXX EST Called FSA to check on reconsideration for PSLF counts. XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXXXXXX XXXX EST Called FSA to check on reconsideration for PSLF counts. Was told that it was in the final stage of consideration and I should be notified by next week. XX/XX/XXXX Called FSA and spoke to XXXX to check on reconsideration request. She stated that my case has been escalated and is being worked now. She gave me the case number for this call as XXXX.
