I attempted to wire money out of my bank account at Wells Fargo via online banking. I followed all steps, reported all codes that verified my identity and considered the transfer complete. The bank called me to verify details of the wire, but then got personal, asking how I knew the person and what the wire was for. I became upset at their intrusion and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and there were a series of calls and hang ups between the bank and myself. I wanted this wire to be a XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX but I didnt think my bank had any right to know that. Once Id verified who I was and that the amount and recipient were correct the transfer should have been completed. Is that not their job? I did relent, answered their questions, they agreed to release the transfer but XXXX hours later I got an email from them that the transfer had not been successful. During another XXXX minute call, I learned Id waited too long to answer their questions and Id have to resubmit my wire request. Instead, XXXX moving all my money to XXXX XXXX XXXX
