We purchased a new construction home with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) The closing date of the house was estimated to be somewhere in XX/XX/XXXX. The day of the final inspection on XX/XX/XXXX, we found that the roof of the garage was leaking due to the heavy rain that day. We suspect that XXXX covered up the fact that the house had a leak issue because there was paint streaks that lined up with the water stains that appeared on the walls. These pictures are documented in the inspection report. After reporting this issue with XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, that very same day we received an email from XXXX 's sales manager stating that we have to close on the house in 5 days or else XXXX would cancel our transaction. We believe pushing a customer to close on a damaged house that impacts our safety is not ethical. We've expressed with XXXX that we will not close on this house and requested a full refund of the earnest money of {$14000.00}. XXXX denied our request to return the earnest money. We need your help with returning this earnest money. Thank you.
