Complaint I am writing to report a dispute with TransUnion, one of the three major credit reporting agencies. Despite my efforts to correct an error, TransUnion has failed to remove a wrong late payment history ( rating ) from my credit report. *Account Information : * - Account Name : XXXX XXXX, XXXX - Account Number : XXXX - Date of Alleged Late Payment : XXXX, XXXX *Description of Issue : * On about XX/XX/XXXX, I discovered a late payment on my TransUnion credit report for the above-mentioned account. However, I have a letter from XXXX proving that the reported late payment for XX/XX/XXXX is wrong and should be deleted from my credit report. I have contacted TransUnion multiple times to dispute this error, but they have refused to remove it from my report. *Actions Taken : * Date of initial Dispute : On about XX/XX/XXXX Date of last two Disputes : XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX Method of Dispute ( phone, mail, online ) : phone, mail, and online TransUnion 's Response ( if any ) : They fixed the error two times, but it came back to my credit report *Relief Sought : * I request that the CFPB assist me in resolving this dispute. I would like TransUnion to : 1. Remove the incorrect late payment history for XX/XX/XXXX from my credit report. 2. Update my credit report to reflect the accurate payment history. 3. Provide a corrected credit report to me and to any entity that has requested my credit report in the past six months.
