I received a Visa prepaid gift card administered by InComm Financial Services and issued by XXXX, XXXX. this XXXX XXXX. The balance of the card was {$100.00} when I received it. I tried five times to make a purchase in the amount of {$48.00} from an online retailer, but the transaction was declined every time even though I had sufficient funds on the gift card and the retailer is completely legitimate. I then contacted InComm 's customer service number printed on the back of my particular prepaid card ( XXXX ) and was connected to an agent who sounded like he was from an XXXX country. I gave said agent my gift card number and then the XXXX " serial number '' on the card 's back, and he told me that the information I provided to verify the card account was invalid and that he would place me on a one to two-minute hold. About 30 seconds later, the call was dropped by the agent ( not by me ). InComm is not even doing the bare minimum to help the recipients of their prepaid debit cards actually spend the money loaded onto them ; they definitely were of no help whatsoever in my case.
