After being issued a new debit card due to repeated chip and XXXX errors, with the same account number, a merchant issued a {$4100.00} refund but capital one rejected the refund due to the expiration date not matching. This is not standard banking practice. The merchant is not unable to issue a refund because on their end the credit has been processed. Capital one 's only solution is to issue a dispute for a transaction they refused, this causes damage between myself and the merchant.
