Consumer Narrative
My previous leased car XXXX XXXX XXXX with VW Credit , Inc. ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) was turned in back to the dealer in XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX months earlier before the contracted lease end date ). At the same time, I signed a new lease contract with the same company ( VW Credit , Inc ) for a new car ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ). Upon signing the new contract for the new car ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ), it was agreed between the car dealer ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX ) and myself that XXXX additional fees and remaining monthly payment would be charged for the turned-in old XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Meanwhile, on the new contract, it is clearly stated that the car dealer ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) would pay off the remaining monthly payment on my behave ( totaling {$1100.00} ) for the old XXXX, so there would be no charge on myself. I also confirmed with XXXX XXXX XXXX that they indeed paid the exact amount to the financing company VW Credit , Inc. Please refer to the bottom of the first page of the attached new contract, which states XXXX XXXX XXXX would payoff that amount. However, a few months later ( around XXXX XXXX ), VW Credit , Inc. issued a one-page sum of {$2500.00} bill to me stating it was for excessive wear/tear, repair, remaining monthly payment, and early termination for the old XXXX. Since then, I have been in contact back and forth between both the car dealer ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and financing company VW Credit , Inc. As mentioned above, XXXX XXXX XXXX confirmed that they did pay VW Credit , Inc. for the remaining monthly balance ( {$1100.00} ) on my behave, also VW Credit Inc. acknowledged they received the exact amount from the dealer on the phone call. Furthermore, on the phone call with VW Credit , Inc., they stated that they issued a credit check back to me by their accounting error, but to my defense, that credit check was the credit when I signed the new contract car. I have requested NUMEROUS times for a detailed breakdown from VW Credit , Inc as to how they calculated the {$2500.00} bill that was issued to me, e.g. how much they spent on the repair of the old XXXX, what kind of repair they did ( if so, provide me the original invoice with material and manpower ), why are they still stating that the remaining balance isn't paid off while admitting that they received the exact two-month payment amount of {$1100.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX , why would they still charge if we already agreed that during signing the new contract that all fee would be waived, and I have been signing contracts with them for XXXX cars now and this is my first time encounter this issue. With all the requests above for months, VW Credit , Inc failed to provide me with a detailed breakdown, being unable to help, cooperate, and respond with negative engagement. As of a phone call on XX/XX/XXXX, they promised a manager/supervisor would call me within XXXX hours, I received no phone calls from anyone. VW Credit , Inc put a Charge-off ( same amount of {$2500.00} ) on my credit report in XX/XX/XXXX, which caused a huge impact on my credit score, while they were not able to provide all the information I requested, and being unhelpful for MONTHS. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I hence made this complaint requesting either a detailed breakdown of that bill, or waive all charges, AND take the charge-off off my credit report.
