Good evening, I have a home loan with PHH Mortgage Services loan number ( XXXX ). We recently filed a claim with our insurance company sometime last year it is now in the final stage litigation process. So, we can not obtain flood insurance from the existing insurance company without some sort of retaliation. During the first week of XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX PHH Mortgage Services designated our area as a flood zone. As a result, we now pay approximately {$280.00} every month which is taken out of our monthly Mortgage payment. Although Hurricane season ends in XXXX, they chose to designate our area as a flood zone the end of hurricane season. We have resided in the area for over 18 years now. It has never flooded during hurricane season nor was designated as a flood zone before.
