I purchased an airline ticket and was refused service. I then asked for my money back and was also refused a refund from the airline. So I filed a dispute with Capital One, my credit card company and the one I used to make the purchase. They initially credited my account back while they did an investigation. A week or so later they denied it and reversed the charge apparently because I put this dispute as a " cancellation ''. Meaning they thought I tried to cancel the ticket. I explained to them over the phone that I was denied service. They asked me to send in documentation of my tickets and a summary of the events which I did. A week later I get a letter from stating they didn't receive sufficient information from me. The rep that I spoke to again references that I put this as a cancellation and they have proof that this was a valid purchase and cancellations were not allowed. I again explain to them multiple times that this was not a cancellation and instead a refusal of service. And I explained all of this in a XXXX page document that I sent to them. They act like they don't know what I'm talking about and that there is nothing they can do. And tell me to contact the airline company. This incident cost me over {$5000.00} in missed lodging and tours. The last thing I want to do is pay for an airline ticket that I was refused service for. I ended up having to buy a brand new ticket from a different airline. Out of all people, I would expect my credit card company which I've used for years would have my back. But their outsourced customer service is really bad. I've submitted documents of proof and everything they've asked for. I've called in and spoke to multiple reps, none of them seem to have any understanding of the situation.
