I owed a debt with XXXX XXXX that due to a wildfire that forced my relocation to another state and insufficient financial ability to make further payments. XXXX sold the debt to Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC. I learned that on XX/XX/XXXX they filed a " Summons and Complaint '' with the XXXX District Court for XXXX XXXX, and then an " Amended Complaint '' on XXXX, both of which they have never served upon me. I have been in communication with their attorney, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX # XXXX ). He attempted to enter into a repayment plan ( including a release of any wrongdoing by XXXX XXXX and its minions ) with me via a " Stipulated Judgment '' ( again, on a lawsuit never served upon me ). I have rejected this and it remains unsigned. On XXXX, I received a letter from Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC confirming a payment arrangement with them THAT DOES NOT EXIST. I then wrote their attorney again rejecting their proposed " Stipulated Judgment '' and asking for them to immediately cease and desist from creating false documents and financial repayment agreements that do not exist.
