On XXXX I was under attack by vicious scammers. It originated with a phone call telling me my XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX card was compromised. That whole weekend they kept me on the phone. Telling all kinds of stories that people had my card and they were going on a cruise to the XXXX etc.. They also let me know that they realize that my Discover Card was compromised as well. The phony XXXX agent instructed me that a policeman would be coming to my house to pick up the two cards, my Visa and my Discover, so they can continue investigating what was turning into a nightmare scam. After the so-called policeman picked up the cards, the scammers went crazy. Charging all kinds of items and very expensive electronics. XXXXXXXX XXXX worked with me, hand in hand to sort out the mess.They immediately took action and had all of the charges of which there were many reversed. Discover Card on the other hand, treated me very poorly. They said they were investigating and because of the circumstances, it was my fault that the credit card was used. The scammers racked up over {$12000.00} in purchases all over XXXX Florida. I live in XXXX Florida, and I honestly didnt recognize the names of the towns where a lot of the purchases were made. I am an XXXX XXXXr-old woman and Im practically XXXX at this point. I take care of a very ill husband and a daughter who is paralyzed from drug use. As you can see my life is not exactly easy. This whole scam and identity theft has really made my life miserable. I did everything Discover said to do. I got a police report., made a list of all the charges that were made and filled out Discovers official report. Discover showed no interest in, trying to help me with a resolution to this problem. They insist that I authorize the charges which I did not. I got absolutely no alerts warning me about anything going on with Discover. ive had this threatening black cloud hanging over me since the scam began. How they continually insist that I authorize these purchases when I was nowhere near any of these place, is very disturbing. I found out that the way they got all of my information was through my phone. Somehow they did get control of my phone and was able to get my pins and passwords, etc. why these people cant use their productivity to do something positive is beyond me. As a retired elementary school teacher it really breaks my heart to see the direction that our world is going. Please let me know if you need more information from me.
