I request that you refrain from placing any fraud alert or related annotations on my credit report as this would mischaracterize my dispute and create unnecessary complications. Under 15 U.S.C. 1681b, access to a consumers credit report is lawful only if : The consumer initiated a transaction. The consumer provided written authorization. There is a legitimate business need related to an existing account or transaction. Since none of these apply to me, the inquiry constitutes a direct violation of the FCRA. To resolve this matter, I request that XXXX XXXX XXXX : Remove the unauthorized inquiry from my credit report immediately.
