We have a credit freeze w/TransUnion. Friday, starting at about XXXX XXXX I tried to lift the freeze using their online system while I was online with a merchant. After I logged in, their website sent a code to my email address. After about 5 minutes ( did not time the wait ), since there was no " resend '' option on the web page, I closed the web page and attempted to login again. This time, I timed 10 minutes and when I had not received an email, I tried to login again- the THIRD time, with NO prior warning, I was told my account was locked. The web site gave a phone number to call ; but the office was closed. I sent them a message on XXXX, and received back a pointer to their website and a indication that I would get a response within 72 BUSINESS HOURS. 25 minutes after the initial request for a code, the code showed up in my email. Message headers indicate the message was not SENT until 22 minutes after my first login attenot. Saturday morning, I tried to log in again ; but the account was still locked. I spent 15 minutes on hold and then was disconnected - I'm now on hold again.
