According to 15 U.S. Code 1681s-2, creditors have an obligation to report accurate information to credit reporting agencies. Furthermore, under 15 U.S. Code 1666b and 15 U.S. Code 1681i, I have the right to dispute any inaccuracies and to have them investigated.
