We moved into XXXX XXXXXXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. It became evident that there was mold in the plumbing including the toilets and HVAC. At first the leasing XXXX agreed to let us move after we paid to have the property inspected and found dangerous mold particles in the air. Through several emails at the end of XXXX, the leasing XXXX advised we could move out whenever was convient for us and they would refund our {$250.00} admin fee and the {$500.00} deposit once we moved. The leasing XXXX, after we had secured a new place to live, stated that before we leave we needed to sign a " XXXX XXXX '' that was not mentioned in the email stating we could move. This agreement released the company from any liability and restricted us from speaking about the property 's mold issues. We refused to sign that since there was never a mention of it and if it had been presented before would not have agreed and would have proceeded to have the health department inspect the home. We proceeded to move out XX/XX/XXXX since that had already been agreed to in emails. Around XX/XX/XXXX, we received a collection notice for {$3100.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I inquired what the collection was for and they advised it was for Early Termination. They reported to all 3 credit reports. We should not have been charged anything since we were told we could leave and that we would receive a refund. The charge minus the {$500.00} deposit we paid is equal to 2 months rent. However, the Early Termination Fee stated in the lease is only 1 month which would be {$1800.00} minus the {$500.00} deposit. We would only be charged {$1300.00} if the fee were even valid. I have disputed the charges showing proof of the emails and lease and only XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX has removed the information.
