I received a debt collection notification letter dated on XX/XX/year> from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for a Prosper account originated with XXXX. It states that my XXXX account was now owned by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX and the total amount of the debt amount was {$1300.00}. Following the notification, my Prosper account was settled with the collection agency. This settlement was completed on XX/XX/year>, and the balance was resolved in full. I received two emails from the collection agency : Agreement to Resolve Your Account letter issued on XXXX XXXX and Account Resolution Confirmation letter issued on XX/XX/year>. However, to this date, almost a year after it was settled and resolved, the balance is shown in my records as owed. The collection agency has failed to update my records in the credit reporting bureaus. I have made multiple phone calls to both the collection agency and original lender. Multiple times, they opened tickets to investigate the matter, but have never reached out to me with updates or results. I sent a letter requesting the collection agency to update my records. I request the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to enforce compliance on the collection agency 1 ) to update my records accordingly and immediately. 2 ) to cease any further collection activities regarding this account 3 ) and ensure that no negative marks related to this resolved debt appear on my credit report.
