Consumer Narrative
In XXXX I moved out of an apartment because I thought I was being evicted. Due to XXXX XXXX there was a portion of unpaid rent. That was {$7000.00}. XXXX years later I was contacted by a collection agency. I thought the apartment landlord dismissed the debt because they kept the security deposit. In XXXX I was contacted by the collection company and then harassed. The collection company calls and sends letters repeatedly to me and my elderly parents. They also threaten to destroy our credit. They tell us we cant call the landlord and they are not a collection company.
