My waste collection bill ( XXXX ) was sent to collections ( Coast to Coast Financial Solutions ) for {$350.00} ( Reference # : XXXX ). I had been unable to access my online account to pay my bill and had been going back and forth with XXXX to resolve the issue. Coasts to Coasts letter said to call or write by XX/XX/year>23 to dispute the debt. I wrote before XX/XX/year>23 to dispute the debt as instructed, and requested additional information. The letter stipulated that if I wrote before XX/XX/scrub>/23 they must stop collection until they sent the requested information. Despite filing the dispute via the proper channels they went ahead with collections. Despite attempting to follow up with additional written letters, by phone, and their online contact form, I received no follow up or response from Coast to Coast Financial Solutions. I was never able to get in touch with any representative from the company after multiple attempts, they were completely inaccessible. Additionally despite having until XX/XX/year>23 to dispute and resolve the issue, the collection was reported to the credit bureaus PRIOR to XX/XX/scrub>/23, and showed up on my credit report by XXXX/XXXX/23. They failed to follow the proper process as outlined in their notification, failed to provide additional information about the collection, neglected to ever respond to me, and should not have sent notification to credit bureaus before the stipulated date. Due to the complete lack of response and concern for my credit I paid the amount, but credit collectors need to be accountable to someone. Lack of transparency and communication at the expense of my credit is a threat through negligence.
