Re : Formal Complaint Regarding Experian 's Failure to Investigate Inaccurate Information Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding Experian 's failure to conduct a full and fair investigation into inaccurate information being reported on my credit file. I am a victim of the XXXX data breach, which has led to identity theft, and as a result, my credit report is being damaged by incorrect and fraudulent information that should not be there. Despite my attempts to address these issues with Experian directly, they have not provided adequate investigation or resolution to the inaccuracies. In particular, the following issues are negatively impacting my credit score : 19 Inaccurate Addresses Experian is reporting 19 addresses on my credit file, none of which I recognize. I only reside at one address, which is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, FL. The other addresses listed do not belong to me and I am unaware of them. Inaccurate Accounts Experian is also reporting the following accounts, which I do not recognize or authorize : XXXX ( Opened XX/XX/XXXX ) XXXX XXXX ( Opened XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Opened XX/XX/XXXX ) XXXX ( Opened XX/XX/XXXX ) XXXX XXXX ( Opened XX/XX/XXXX ) XXXX XXXX ( Opened XX/XX/XXXX ) hese accounts were opened fraudulently as a result of the identity theft linked to the XXXX breach, and I have taken steps to report this to the necessary authorities. As a victim of identity theft, I am entitled to protection under Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) provisions, specifically Section 605B and Section 1681a, which require credit reporting agencies to block inaccurate information that is the result of identity theft. Despite this, Experian has failed to block this erroneous information or properly investigate my dispute. I kindly request that the CFPB investigate this matter and take action to ensure that Experian fulfills its legal obligations to correct my credit file and cease reporting any fraudulent information. I would appreciate it if you could follow up with Experian to enforce my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and ensure my credit report is updated accordingly. Thank you for your attention to this important matter. Please feel free to contact me if any additional information is needed. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX
