Consumer Narrative

I got a loan from a bank. My wife and I were told since it was a cashier check, it would only have a one day hold. I asked again because I wanted to be sure.We were told not to worry this was on XX/XX/XXXX, on XX/XX/XXXX, nineteen checks were returned, five checks were returned on the XXXX of XXXX, and 6 more on the ninth of XXXX even though there was over {$70000.00} in the account. We are senior citizens on fixed income, needless to say how much this has set us back. Because we had to pay fees on the returned checks, it created a hardship we still haven't recovered from. This was Navy Federal Credit Union. I got many excuses but they were 100 % at fault on this, their tellers even told us days later when I asked them that the check should have only been on hold one day.
