I'm a victim of identity theft, whoever stole my identity opened fraudulent accounts in my name and the accounts are reporting negatively on my credit report. Here are some of the fraudulent inquire 's and accounts ... .I also attached supporting documents. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I hereby request a thorough investigation into these items and their subsequent removal from my credit report. It is my understanding that you are obligated to verify these items with the relevant creditor. Any information that the creditor can not validate should be promptly deleted. I am aware that as per 15 U.S.C. Sec. 1681i ( a ), this reinvestigation must be completed within 30 days of receiving this letter. Please provide an updated copy of my credit report to the address provided above. As per the act, no fee should be charged for this updated report. Additionally, I kindly request that you notify anyone who has received my credit report in the past six months of any corrections made. Thank you for your attention and assistance in this matter.
