On XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from a person who stated they were from Huntington Bank fraud dept. They said that someone in Texas was trying to make a purchase with my debit card and they wanted to verify if this was me. I said I was not in Texas and had possession of my card. They had all of my personal information and knowledge of a previous fraudulent purchase with my debit card. They behaved suspiciously asking for additional information and I locked my card and hung up. I then saw a {$4500.00} charge on my account and called Huntingtons fraud department immediately. The rep was very dismissive and did not ask for details. He said that I must have given them everything. He opened a case. The next day the same people called my husband and attempted the same scam. I called Huntington immediately and asked them to block my husbands card and issue a new one. They said Id have to wait for fraudulent activity which we could then appeal.They finally agreed to my request. I received a letter from XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX stating they determined the charge was authorized based on information received. They never asked for information! I called the supervisor who stated I would have to contact XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX and obtain proof that I did not authorize charges. I am XXXX years old and this is way beyond my skill level. Huntington issued me a new card which I have not used. Today, XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from someone saying they were from Huntington fraud dept and that someone was trying to use my new card. They had the card number and last 4 numbers of my social security. How could they have the new number? I hung up and called Huntington and it was a fraudulent call.
