On XX/XX/year> we contacted Jefferson capital debt collector to resolve this. We paid {$370.00} to XXXX company for payment. The company said, if this is not removed, we will charge you {$90.00} a month to dispute our information until it's removed. After 3 months, I continued to contact asking why it had not been reported to original creditor as paid or to the credit bureaus. The company then said, " We never received the payment, so you need to pay us {$370.00}. '' I showed proof of payment through bank, company continued to deny this. On XX/XX/XXXX, Jefferson capital refunded {$370.00} to our account even though the said they never received payment. After that, Jefferson Capital sent a letter stating that they were no longer going after this collection. All this was my wife 's situation that she fought Jefferson Capital about. Two months later Jefferson Capital changed the amount and attached it to my account, I was never on her account. My wife and I have attempted numerous times to prove to them that they are Fraudulently going after me but all the representatives do is hang up on us, refuse to put a Supervisor on. We are not the only ones being affected by this Fraudulent company. If you read the reviews on them, you will see this company, Jefferson Capital is doing this to a lot more people. This company needs to be investigated and the people they are trying to go after should have ALL DEBTS REMOVED FROM THE CREDIT BUREAUS. THEY ARE DESTROYING PEOPLE 'S LIVES AND TAKING THEIR MONEY.
