Consumer Narrative

I contacted XXXX and requested a Formal Request for Removal of Inaccurate Account Information. The Information is follows : Creditor Name : XXXX XXXX XXXX Account Number : XXXX Date Listed on Report : XX/XX/XXXX, As allowed under FCRA 1681g, I requested a copy of the signed credit agreement that I authorized with this creditor. This documentation is essential to confirm the accounts authenticity. Section 1681s-2 mandates that furnishers of information ( creditors ) provide only complete and accurate data. I request that you verify with the data furnisher that each detail complies with these legal requirements. If the furnisher fails to provide full verification for the full-length term of this account starting on XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, including proof of my legal and lawful signature and if the account was written off or paid, please also provide a copy of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX 1099 form for tax reporting purposes please remove this entry from my credit report in adherence to the FCRAs accuracy standards. Nothing requested was received by XXXX however XXXX has continued to incorrectly report this account causing me issues with obtaining credit and housing. This account has several inaccuracies and I have requested more than 5. times for them to be fixed yet XXXX has continuously reported than in error, severely damaging my credit. Section 623 of the FCRA and Regulation V generally provide that a furnisher must not furnish inaccurate consumer information to a CRA, and that furnishers must investigate a consumer 's dispute that the furnished information is inaccurate or incomplete. XXXX failed to provide accurate info of over 4 months, including the account listed as " Paid Off '' yet they are reporting it as a collection account. If the account was paid off, that would be a charge off, and if it was charged off, WHY haven't I received a 1099 for my tax reporting purposes?
