I called on XX/XX/XXXX and talked to a rep at Kohls customer service for capital one. Explained the situation, in detail. Expressed my concern about the error made by them. I was told the account balance was XXXX and that my credit available was {$1000.00}. I expressed again that there was a report made to my credit dropping my score XXXX points. I let them know that this was disturbing to me and that I would like to see if they could resolve the situation again I was only told the same information about the balance. I did not owe anything. I asked the rep to look back into my account information for XXXX. They did this it showed I did not pay on the date the payment was due, but that I did pay that month, inside of the month of XXXX. I was informed that I had a late fee added to the amount that I paid. That was also paid. There was no reason there should be any kind of reporting to my credit. That is what they told me. I asked again if they could help me by telling me how to resolve this. They told me I had to take it up with the credit bureau. This is all that was done.
