I opened a loan with Hyundai Motor Finance in XXXX. I attempted to trade in the vehicle with a different company on a different vehicle. The new dealership called Hyundai Motor Finance for a payoff amount and the employee of Hyundai Motor Finance gave information from my account to the new company without permission and told the new company not to do business with me because they claimed my loan was in default. My loan was not in default, there was an issue with a deferment agreement and they put my account in default without resolving the deferment agreement issue. The new company refused to do business with me, and Hyundai Motor Finance is to blame for that. In addition, Hyundai Motor Finance has told me that the actions of their employee violated the law and their company policy. I have made multiple attempts to resolve these issues, but Hyundai Motor Finance keeps adding excessive interest to my account and claiming I own them more than double the amount of the note. I attempted several times to make payments on the note, only to be refused by their website. I called them and they told me I am had to pay a charge to make payments over the phone even though the web page payments are free.
