Consumer Narrative
I have a charge-off listed on my credit report from XXXX XXXX that is incorrect. I've received a 1099-C form for this charge-off and have filed it on my taxes which it is now taxable income and not debt. Credit bureaus can not report income as debt on the credit file. The credit bureau is still falsely listing this account as a charge-off which is negatively affecting my credit and also violating FCRA 15 USC 1681 ( e ) B.
