Back on XX/XX/year> a complaint that I made against XXXX XXXX XXXX was closed with a very unsatisfactory response. The company stated they could not find any details regarding my account, however the account in question had been closed on my credit report. It was closed, however it is still reporting incorrect information resulting potentially negative credit score and overall trustworthiness in creditors eyes. I repeatedly contacted this company regarding the fraud use and continued opening of my account and drafting of payments I never authorized, including opening a second account after request of closure. I requested all funds back, and compensation related to the specificity of the law, as well as removal of the account in full. The company response was to send me a check, that I was unable to cash, as the check turned out to be fraud. The check itself was also not comparable in funds to what is allowed by the law of up to {$1000.00} per fine, nor was it comparable to the hundreds of dollars that were taken from my account during that time without my consent, or the funds and energy spent trying to recover my identity due to neglect on the company behalf. I have tried over time to get this corrected including reaching out to my local Congressional team for assistance. I have filed the necessary police report regarding my identity theft, and this is the 2nd year in a row that I am having to complete this same process without any resolution. Please correct this.
