Consumer Narrative

Equifax would not allow me to put a freeze on my credit report after I was alerted to a Data breach. Their website after logging in will not let you place a temporary freeze, their customer service would not verify my ID, even after sending a photograph of my valid drivers license and a photograph of myself. After which I was locked out of the website entirely, including links from other credit sites, XXXX XXXX and XXXX. Their links to Equifax are dead links.I believe that as a for-profit company, it does not behoove them to allow credit freezes and therefore they intentionally make it impossible to do so.
