Consumer Narrative

Name : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Last XXXX of XXXX : XXXX Hello. I am contacting the CFPB today to detail my recent experience with identity theft. XXXX XXXX, the individual who stole my identity, lived with me for 10 years. He made copies of my social security card, driver 's license, and birth certificate during his stay. He proceeded to open up numerous accounts in my name with no authorization from me. I am trying my best to remedy the fire he started but he has been the direct cause of the crippling debt that is reporting to my credit report. I have also filed a police report, but this is all I can do as he is nowhere to be found. I sent this letter once time prior ; I would really appreciate putting all this behind me and continuing the recovery process. I can't do that if these accounts, that I've reported to the police and the FTC, are still showing up on my credit report. Also, after researching for hours on the best ways to help my situation, this CFPB complaint has been filed to request under FCRA 605B ( 15 U.S.C. 1681c-2 ) that you, the Equifax credit reporting agency , block information appearing on my consumer credit report that is the result of identity theft and fraud within 4 business days of you receiving this complaint. I have once again provided the information regarding the account in question XXXX XXXX XXXX Acct # : XXXX Open Date : XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX Acct # : XXXX Open Date : XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX Acct # : XXXX Open Date : XX/XX/XXXX INQUIRIES XXXX XXXX XXXX Date of Inquiry : XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX Date of Inquiry : XX/XX/XXXX I dont recognize this account. I did not authorize it and because of an evil roommate, I have to suffer for his terrible actions. This account was not made, opened, or initiated by me. Unfortunately, they are the result of identity theft and fraud. I have attached a copy of FTC Identity Theft Criminal Complaint # ( XXXX ), along with the other numerous FTC Affidavits I have submitted to Equifax, as proof from the US Federal Trade Commission that the account mentioned above is the result of identity theft and fraud.
