My friend purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$100.00} with a {$7.00} fee for my spouse and I. Upon following the instructions on using the debit card, I'm unable to use the card online ( XXXX, XXXX, etc. ) and in-store ( XXXX ). Each time I made an attempt, I would get a decline. I had several issues contacting customer service on their website and at XXXX where it is written " If you need help due to a declined transaction and have sufficient funds to cover the purchase, your XXXX XXXX was most likely declined due to security and safety measures in place to protect your funds. Use your Card in-person or at a different merchant online and make sure to include the card security code. '' Given the amount of declines, the customer suggested that I email to XXXX with my case number XXXX uploading : ( 1 ) the original receipt from my friend who purchased the gift card ; ( 2 ) the utility document sharing my private home address ; ( 3 ) a government identification. I shared that my friend purchased the card long time ago and may not even have the gift receipt and customer service pushed back that this was necessary to use my replacement card. I even asked them if there was any vendor online or in-store that I can use the card immediately.
