I had been currently filing for insurance quotes for a car I was trying to finance on XX/XX/2024. When I finished putting all my information in ( Name, DOB, Social security # ), I had noticed there had already been other vehicles registered under my name to add insurance to. I did not own any other vehicles at the time, and later found out that names were also registered for whatever insurance I was applying for. I even tried this with several other insurance companies, and recieved the same results. The names listed were that of previous family members, whom I had recent falling outs in the past year. I did not consent to them registering vehicles under my name, nor was it to my knowledge. Everything at the dealership went fine otherwise, but I can only assume they've been using my social security # for credit reports and/or insurance quotes.
