Dear CFPB Representative, I am filing this formal complaint against Experian Credit Bureau for failing to address and correct inaccurate information on my credit report in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). Despite my multiple requests, the credit bureau has not taken the necessary actions to resolve the issues. Below are the details of my prior requests : 1. Request Date : in the year of XXXX and or about XX/XX/XXXX Description : Dispute of inaccurate personal information ( social security number, addresses and name ). I received a letter in the mail from the credit bureau responding that this information can not be corrected. 2. Request Date : XX/XX/XXXX Description : Dispute of inaccurate personal information ( social security number, addresses and name ). Despite allowing the credit bureau sufficient time to investigate and correct the errors, they have failed to comply with the following provisions of the FCRA : 1. Failure to Investigate Disputes : Under 15 U.S. Code 1681i ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ), credit bureaus must investigate disputes within 30 days. These requests were not addressed within the required timeframe. 2. Failure to Ensure Accuracy and Integrity : Per 15 U.S. Code 1681e ( b ), credit bureaus are required to maintain reasonable procedures to ensure maximum possible accuracy in consumer reports. 3. Failure to Provide Timely Notification of Investigation Results : According to 15 U.S. Code 1681i ( a ) ( 6 ), credit bureaus must notify consumers of investigation results within 5 business days after completion. I have not received any such notice. The unresolved inaccuracies have negatively impacted my financial standing and ability to manage my credit effectively. I am now seeking your assistance in ensuring compliance with FCRA regulations and holding the credit bureau accountable. I kindly request that the CFPB investigate this matter and help facilitate the removal or correction of the inaccurate information.
