On XX/XX/XXXX, I was scammed by an impersonator claiming to be a SoFI fraud agent. It was actually an account takeover fraud. The criminal transferred {$5800.00} to a XXXX XXXX XXXX account that they set up. Speaking with a SoFi agent they were dealing with multiple takeovers that week and were working on fixing the issue. They money was put back into my account on XX/XX/XXXX but they did not lift the restriction of the account meaning no transfers of my {$5800.00} will be allowed. I was told they are waiting to set up brand new account numbers since the original numbers have been compromised. Each time I call SoFi bank, they tell me someone will call when the investigation is completed. I press the issue the investigation is complete because SoFi put the funds back into my account. It's like each one speak to reads from a script and tells me there is no one they can transfer to that has further information like how long this process can take or if they can just send me a check for the {$5800.00}. They all say the investigation team will need to call me but I can't be transferred to them to speak to. This is by far the worst handling of fraud I've ever experienced. No way should anyone put their money in trust to SoFi bank.
