I wanted to open a checking account with SOFI earlier this year. I was unable to do so because someone else had tried to do the same under my ss #. I called and reported this issue, they created a case # and told me to call back. XXXX weeks go by and I had to call them, they said it was upon me to get the account dispute with my credit report. I called them last Tuesday XX/XX/XXXX. I was hung up on and they did not call me back. I called back and spoke to the same people, and told they would call me by XXXX the XXXX of XXXX, I have not heard from them. One would think that during this day and age that a company would want to stop fraud and not want to be a part of having someone trying to use it to abuse others. After calling SOFI multiple times I still can't open checking account, nor can I verify that they have stopped the other person from using my information to create a fraudulent account using my information. They appear to not even care about what is going on with this situation.
