Hello, I submitted a XXXX application through Nelnet. Since the recent court case, I have been in forbearance. My XXXX student loans were disbursed from XXXX, and my graduate school loans were taken out between XXXX. I have been paying these loans for at least XXXX years, and up to XXXX XXXXears. I am XXXX XXXX XXXX, am fully retired, and am supported solely by my pension. My current loan balance is approx. {$3500.00}. I have read several times from several different sources that the maximum repayment period for XXXX loans is 20 years and 25 year maximum for graduate loans. I do not understand why my loans have not been forgiven. Again, have been paying these loans for at least 36 years, and up to 51 years. I have called and written Nelnet many times. They refuse to answer my question. They have referred me several times to studentaid.gov. I can not get any answers from XXXX. of XXXX either. I believe I have overpaid my loans and am owed a refund. I can not get any answers or help from any agency. I would appreciate any help you can give me. I am almost XXXX, fully retired, and supported solely by pension.
