In XXXX, Credit Acceptance financed my vehicle at the time, and I was behind two payments, so they took the car and told me that I had to pay the two payments to get it back. I went to XXXX XXXX, where they took the car and made the payments, but because I didn't have plates on the car, XXXX couldn't tow the vehicle back to my house. I then left XXXX XXXX to go back home ( to the XXXX ) to obtain a tow truck. Once I did that, I returned to XXXX to get my car, which was gone. I contacted Credit Acceptance immediately to find out where my car was, but they had no answers. I kept calling them, and they just kept telling me that if I wanted my car back, I had to pay the balance of the vehicle in full, and they refused to acknowledge that I had just sent them two payments that they asked for. After this, I haven't heard from them for quite some time. Then, on XX/XX/year>, my former employer notified me that they got a letter for me from the XXXX XXXX in XXXXXXXX XXXX and another from the law firm of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, stating that they were going to garnish my wages for a debt owed to Credit Acceptance of {$4300.00}. They never sent me any correspondence to try to settle the debt for years, and now, they are here. I don't appreciate the tactics they're trying to use to pay this debt. Are you just going to take my paycheck without telling me? I need help with this situation. I see that there was a lawsuit against CA for how they operate. They need to be stopped because this is crazy.
