On XX/XX/year>, I was speaking with a representative of Genesis Credit Management on the phone after a few weeks of them calling myself, my employer, as well as my brother. In a previous phone call, I had asked them to send me information about the alleged debt and attempted to negotiate a smaller amount to be owed. They sent me a very simple list of the charges on the account that included my name, current address, and phone number. That is the only document besides their own invoices that I have ever received from this company. It did not include anything proving that I was legally or contractually responsible for the debt. During that phone call, I requested that communication be done over email ( since they kept calling me at work and I wanted a written record of our communication ). The representative that I spoke with was extremely resistant to this request and instead attempted to begin a discount application with me over the phone. I refused to apply for that discount until we had an electronic communication established. XXXX, the representative, seemed to get very annoyed with me for not doing what he wanted me to do. We went back and forth a few times with me refusing to budge on the email subject and he told me that he wanted to take care of this account before it showed up on my credit report. I then asked him if he was threatening my credit score and he got very defensive and agitated. He finally remarked that he was going to mark my account as Evasion of Debt and said " Good Luck ''. The phone call ended a few seconds after that. Since then, I have attempted to register on their online portal to see what is owed and if there's any more documentation connected to the account. I have been unable to register for some reason, so on XX/XX/year> I sent XXXX an email asking for assistance with registering. I did not get a reply, so I emailed him again on the XXXX, and then again on the XXXX. They have not contacted me at all in any form since that phone call on XX/XX/XXXX. Around XX/XX/year>, this collection has been added to my credit report. They still refuse to communicate with me.
