Consumer Narrative

Subject : Request for Immediate Removal of XXXX XXXX Bankruptcy Information under Law 623 A-5 and 15 USC 609 A1 and 609 A2 Bankruptcy Filing Number : XXXX Date Filed/Reported XX/XX/XXXX Date Bankruptcy Status Last Updated : XXXX XX/XX/XXXX To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to request the removal of the bankruptcy listed on my credit report, as I believe it has been incorrectly verified and represents a violation of my rights as a consumer. Recently, I sent a letter to the court that handled my bankruptcy asking if they report bankruptcies to credit agencies. In response, the court confirmed in writing that they " do not report any bankruptcies to credit agencies. '' This means that the legitimate source of the information, the court, does not provide this data to credit agencies. On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted an investigation request to the credit agencies asking how they verified the bankruptcy and its details. I later received a response stating that the bankruptcy had been verified and that no changes were necessary for either the bankruptcy itself or the related accounts. My question is : how was it verified if the court, which is the legitimate source of the information, does not report bankruptcies to credit agencies? This raises a significant concern : if the court does not provide this information, the verification could not have been accurate, which represents a violation of my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). I request the immediate removal of the bankruptcy and all related accounts, as the information has not been properly verified. According to the FCRA, if the credit bureau can not validate the information with the original creditor, they must remove it from the consumer 's credit file
