According to The Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) ( 15 U.S.C. 1681i ( a ) ( 5 ) ( A ) ) : Inaccurate information, including false death reports, must be corrected or deleted. I applied for a XXXX XXXX account on XX/XX/year>. I was informed to contact them. Upon contacting them I had to unfreeze my credit report. After I temporarily removed the freeze, I received an email saying that I wasnt approved for the account because based on their internal information and information from XXXX a consumer reporting agency, they believe that the Social Security number used for this application belongs to a deceased individual. This statement is not true!
