On XX/XX/year>, I received a notification from Privacy Assist ( XXXX : XXXX ), a service I pay for, with an alert on my credit report. The alert indicated that I had a credit card debt with CAPITAL ONE that appeared on my XXXX credit report. I followed up to create an XXXX account and found the credit report alert. I proceeded to call XXXX for more information about the alert, and they saw that there appeared a credit card to the name of either XXXX, XXXX, or Fransua* ( can't recall well the third name ) with the last name XXXX XXXX I told the XXXX representative that my full name was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Since I'm XXXX XXXX, and in our culture, we use both our parent 's last names, they might find an account with the XXXX last names, never only using the XXXX. Based on the validation of my information, the XXXX representative saw that it might be an issue regarding an error of mixed accounts since there were multiple similar names, and I have never lived in XXXX, where the account appeared to be registered. Ive lived all my life in XXXX XXXX and in my actual home for the last 12 years. After checking this information, she told me that there was a chance It might not be an identity theft issue, but she had to pass the call to the fraud team, which she did. The following representative who attended the call validated all the information again and told me that they would open an investigation and that I should follow a few steps to complete it, which brought me to write this email.
